Chazuta lies on the Huallaga River at the edge of the Amazon Basin of Peru nestled in the foothills of the Andes. It is an hour's drive from the larger city of Tarapoto which has a commercial airport.
The training at Chazuta attracts a significant group of pastors and leaders from a wide area of northern Peru. These pastors and leaders serve in Quechua and Shawi churches and are very eager to be trained. Reaching & Teaching has already completed one basic course and has begun a second basic course and is now offering advanced courses for graduates. New dates coming soon!

Requirements
Prerequisites
- All participants must have a valid passport, not expiring within six months of the final date of the trip.
Responsibilities
- Teaching a portion of the module curriculum
Restrictions
- At least 18 years of age
- Must be an approved teacher with RTIM
Preparation
- Prior to departure, all participants must read Foreign to Familiar and participate in an orientation session with RTIM staff.
