This country in Southeast Asia is a poor country with a difficult history. It is primarily Buddhist but has other religions present in smaller numbers, including Christianity. The local food is typical Asian food with a lot of rice, but foods from many countries around the world are available. Clothing worn is contemporary in style but also modest. Most people wear long pants and long sleeves.
