Digging Deeper with the Ladies in Dublin

I had the opportunity to serve in Dublin, Ireland and teach Session 2, Expository Bible Study, to ladies from 7 different churches. Throughout the weekend, these ladies were encouraged to "dig deeper" into Bible passages as they worked through the exegetical process developed by The Simeon Trust Foundation. When asked about my favorite part of the trip it is always an easy answer - the people. These sweet and fun ladies love the Lord and were excited to learn more about how to study the Bible. They also, like me, love biscuits and tea!

One highlight of my trip was to be able to teach along side a few of the Irish ladies. It was encouraging to partner with the ladies to teach their women about the Bible and then know that when we left the teaching would continue in their local churches. I also loved seeing the women laboring together on passages, putting to practice the information they had just learned. The amount of information and teaching can be daunting, especially if it is the first time they have used the exegetical process. The ladies worked diligently and were excited to see the fruits of their labor when it all came together in the end. It was exciting to hear follow-up of their continuing desire to practice these new skills.

Please pray that these ladies will continue to dig deeper in God's Word and that they will encourage other ladies to study with them. Also pray for the Ballycullen Community Church - they currently meet in a school building but desire a building of their own.
